INTERWEAVING: COEXISTENCE AND RESILIENCE IN AUSTRALIA

Latin Stories Australia in conjunction with Casa Cultura and Momentum Psychology are delivering a series of FREE workshops for Latin American women focused on social and professional participation in Australian life, women empowerment, cultural diversity, isolation and sense of belonging. These workshops will take place between 20 of July and 26 of October 2019 in nine different areas around Victoria.

ABOUT THE SESSION:

Each session will cover the following main topics:

1- In conversation with an inspiring women to talk about Australian values, equality at work, how to participate in the social and professional Australian life; and understanding cultural contrast in these areas.

2- A hands-on workshop to explore cultural, racial and religious diversity.

3- An experiential session to talk about isolation, sense of belonging and explore practical skills to build resilience in times of crisis.

This project is funded  by the Department of Home Affairs Fostering Integration Grants program. The grants support new initiatives by not-for-profit organisations that will help migrants better integrate into Australian life through employment and community participation.
