Building connections, wellbeing, and new opportunities in Australia

🚀 Migrating to a new country is an experience full of changes, learning, and new challenges. Adapting to a new culture, creating support networks, finding a sense of belonging, and moving forward in our personal and professional journey are all part of this process.

Let’s Tackle It Together is a free series of five workshops created to support Spanish-speaking people in Australia. It offers a safe space to share experiences, strengthen connections, and develop practical tools for life in a new country.

Through participatory activities and spaces for reflection, the program explores different aspects of the migrant experience: identity, emotional wellbeing, cultural diversity, community participation, and professional development.

🌏 My identity and the city I live in
📅 Saturday 3 October
We will explore how migration transforms our identity and how we can build a deeper connection with the city and community we now call home.

🤝 How to belong in a diverse community
📅 Saturday 10 October
By creating a collective visual piece, we will experience what it means to belong in a multicultural environment, build meaningful connections, and strengthen our sense of belonging.

💙 The roller coaster of migration and resilience
📅 Saturday 24 October
We’ll play a bingo game to reflect on the emotional challenges involved in adapting to another country, and we’ll create a vision board and a resilience plan.

🌍 Cultural Exchange Day: Connecting with Australians (WORKSHOP IN ENGLISH)
📅 Saturday 31 October
Through two interactive activities, we will create a space for intercultural connections, share experiences, and learn new perspectives. This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between Latin American and Australian communities!

💼 Building your story: Strengths-based professional coaching
📅 Saturday 7 November
A workshop with a professional coach to identify your personal and professional strengths, value your experience, and create an action plan to improve your career pathway in Australia.

Let’s Tackle It Together is an initiative of Latin Stories Australia that aims to create spaces for connection, learning, and support where migrants can share their stories, strengthen their networks, and build their place in Australia together.

*The workshops are FREE, given the support of the City of Melbourne and COALAR. However, there is a refundable $5 booking fee to make sure those who register attend and to plan the activities, refreshment and materials.
